Five different local school choirs performed two songs each in front of each other, building up both their performing skills and also those important skills of being an interested and enthusiastic audience for each other. The level of singing was fabulous and hearing the children chattering excitedly about their big performance on the way home was just heart-warming. Our enormous choir sang with passion, joy and huge smiles and made us all very proud. At the end, the organisers taught us a new song to sing together and we finished with a group performance of 'You are Welcome' a piece specially commissioned for the occasion.
