School Uniform
Letting our light shine and making a difference in everything we do.
Our School Uniform
At St Mary & All Saints, we want our children to wear their uniform with immense pride. Our uniform does more than create a smart appearance; it is a visible symbol of our school family. It encourages a shared identity, fosters an inclusive environment where children of all races and backgrounds feel deeply welcome, and reduces social pressures.
Ultimately, coming to school dressed smartly and ready to learn supports positive behaviour and helps every child focus on letting their unique light shine. We ask all parents to partner with us in ensuring children are dressed in the correct school uniform at all times.
Standard School Uniform
Our pupils may wear the following uniform:
Shirt & Tie: White shirt with our school tie.
Jumper/Cardigan: Brown V-neck jumper or cardigan with the school crest.
Trousers, Shorts, or Skirt: Grey tailored trousers or shorts (no jeans, tracksuit bottoms, leggings, or corduroy), or a brown skirt or pinafore.
Summer Option: Yellow checked cotton dress worn with a brown crested V-neck jumper or cardigan.
Socks & Tights: Grey, white, or brown socks or tights.
Footwear: Smart black or brown school shoes (no suede, trainers, sling backs, or boots).
Year 6 Leavers' Hoodies:
Year 6 pupils may wear their official leavers' hoodies as outerwear (instead of coats) during the Summer Term of their final year. Please note these should be removed when inside the classroom.
Physical Education (PE) Uniform
On designated PE days, children should arrive at school dressed in their PE kit:
Polo Shirt: Yellow polo shirt with the school crest.
Bottoms: Black shorts or skorts. Plain brown or black tracksuit bottoms or leggings may be worn for outdoor sessions in cold weather.
Top: Brown sweatshirt with the school crest.
Footwear: Black plimsolls or trainers.
Please note: Cardigans must not be worn for PE lessons as they can easily get caught on sports equipment.
Where to Buy & Affordable Options
We are deeply committed to keeping the cost of school uniform as low as possible for our families. To do this, we have minimised the number of branded, crested items your child needs.
Generic Items: Plain items such as grey trousers, white shirts, summer dresses, and socks can be purchased reasonably from any local supermarket or retailer (e.g., Tesco, Sainsbury's, Marks & Spencer).
Branded Items: Our official school outfitter is The School Shop in Beaconsfield, which stocks all crested and branded uniform pieces.
Second-Hand Uniform: Our PTA holds regular second-hand uniform sales at our parent coffee mornings. You can also source second-hand items directly through the school at any time—please reach out to the school office for assistance.
Support for Families
If you are experiencing financial difficulties in providing a school uniform for your child, please know that help is available. We encourage you to reach out in confidence to your child’s Class Teacher, the Headteacher, or the school office so we can support you.
Please Label Everything!
With children playing and learning actively, items can easily go missing. We kindly ask that every single item of clothing is clearly labelled with your child’s name.
